I don’t understand. Why run any plate frame at all? I’ve always seen them as kinda cluttered and prone to attracting attention to probably the least attractive part of any car (the plate)

Agreed, if you want Nordic runes, then go for it, but the need for a frame always seems odd to me. Exception if the plate is roughly the same color as the car, I could see wanting a bit of contrast in there.

That is a good idea for that frame. Can someone make me one too that says “Whispering Death” “Shhh” in Viking Runic? (not sure if vikings had the expression “shhh” back then)

I got this when I bought my new clutch for the RX-8.

It doesn’t fit European sized license plates. I thought about changing it to “NO POWER TO THE WHEEL” and put it on the Bel Air as a joke (especially since it doesn’t have a clutch at all)

But I I would probably not put any frame on the plate at all. They are everywhere in Germany, and it’s the first thing I remove when I import a car.

It is actually in English. The movie’s texts are all written in English but with faux runic letters. I screenshot the scenes where Hiccup was reading the Book of Dragons and vectorized the characters to create this.

I also thought about getting just plate covers with my personalized plate which matches the reg numbers with the family car overseas, but that got turned down by the registry (difficult to read and confusing? It’s 2 alpha with 4 numbers?) so I don’t care much about the regular series plates.
